During times of isolation, it can be easy to feel cut off from the rest of the world. We may find ourselves longing for a beautiful sunrise or to the feel of the ocean breeze against our skin. But even though our wanderlust may be at a temporary stand-still, it’s important for us travelers to remember that the time will once again come when we can hop in our car or board a plane, ready to explore all the beauty the world has to offer.

6. Plan for Your Next (Real) Vacation

Planning for the future is a great way to keep your spirits high. Spend an afternoon with your loved ones researching your next vacation spot. Even if you aren’t able to book flights and hotels, plan an itinerary and budget so when the time comes, all you have to do is lock everything into place. While international travel may be at a standstill, perhaps this summer is the perfect time to take that road trip you’ve been thinking about! It’s never too early to start dreaming of where you want to travel.

No matter where in the world you are, it’s important to remember that we’re all on this planet together. We need to look out for each other as we would ourselves. Take a moment to appreciate the beauty and the people around you, wherever you are. And know that even though it may be difficult to see right now, the world is still a beautiful place.
