TOP 5 ICELANDIC PRODUCTS

Iceland is one of my favorite places!

If you haven’t been, you may want to add it to your list. It has everything you can imagine like black sand beaches, rugged coastlines and majestic waterfalls cascading throughout the hills. The brightly colored fishing boats that dock along the harbors are beautiful and a very important resource for the Icelandic people.

In case you didn’t know, the Icelandic culture loves their fish. Everywhere we traveled they had fish oil available at the tables and a part of the buffets in the hotels. Specifically, cod liver oil. I had no idea it was SO good for you. Did you know Iceland has the most prolific cod population in the world? The people of Iceland are raised on cod liver oil and Fish Jerky. I tried both and let me say, I could live without the fish jerky… but the cod liver oil was lemon flavored / scented and pretty good. The thing I liked most about this product was all the health benefits!

I discovered some cool products in Iceland that I wanted to share with you.

My Top 5:

1) Volcanic Jewelry

The Icelandic Lava Stone is a grounding stone that strengthens one's connection to Mother Earth. It gives strength and courage, allowing stability through times of change. It provides guidance and understanding in situations where we may need to "bounce back". I picked up a cute pair of volcanic earrings and love wearing them!

5) Reyka Vodka

Many locals claim this Icelandic vodka is the best in the world. The water used to make Reyka comes from a 4,000-year-old lava field. You will taste a smooth warmth with just a touch of vanilla flavoring. This vodka is unique because it is brewed in one of the coldest places on Earth.
